Actor, Model and a Gentlemen

Actor, Model and a Gentlemen

Kalon Jackson made his pilgrimage to New York 4 years ago. He first settled in Mount Vernon but has been a Brooklyn native for the last 3 yrs. Raised by single mom who kept him close, she instilled values in him that he believes in today, helping others. A strong religious foundation first helped when dealing with the industry's shader side. When I asked about the differences between his home in South Carolina and his current residence Kalon responded by saying, " NY will make you stronger. I've slept on trains @ one point , even asked for money but I stayed on my grind. It was harder to get help from others up here (New York) which is different from the south. Help thy neighbor was definitely part of southern living." Mr. Jackson went to the military, the Navy, straight out of high school which took him from Australia to Dubai. Travelling was an eye-opener for him @ such a young age and it made him want to show that to all those he knew. "Travel means a lot to me. Anyone that knows me will tell you I will spend my last $100 on travel."

Kalon came to NY to model and worked with P. Diddy for Sean John amongst others, it was working for him. "A lot of people told me I should branch out. "All My Children" was my 1st acting gig had a small role in "The Brave One" starring Jodie Foster. From those small roles I kept networking. I just finished a supporting role in Spike Lee's film "Miracle at Saint Anna" and am currently looking to executive produce a few projects." Starting October 10th on HBO you can catch him on "Sex Chronicles" based on a book by author Zain. I asked him how he would like to use his stardom to better the world he lived in and his answer came quickly. "From community centers to seminars, I'd like to educate the youth who are interested in modelling or acting. Don't have another person judge your beauty. I want to be able to give back however I can. Bring healthy looking models back to the forefront and rid the industry of the skinny model image. I've always had love for Queen Latifah as a big beautiful woman. I would like to bring God to the forefront also an let people know that he is necessary." Words to grow on.

As usual. the B.M.B.S. Family strives to bring our readers the brightest stars and the latest news. To check out Kalon in the future check him out at www.myspace.com/kalonjackson. This has been Red.71 reporting, keep my ear to the street and bringing you the exclusive. Stay Beautiful Mind Body & Soul. The B.M.B.S. Family.

Jalene Mojica... A Sweet Serenade

I arrived on time after braving NYC traffic and congestion. Although I left in ample time I got stuck on the 59th Street Bridge for half an hour, typical. Thanks to industry standards the show started late and I didn't miss a beat. The event was hosted by Malik Brooks and turned out to be a house full of talent in all shapes and sizes. I was taken aback by the ambiance at first but it turned out to be the perfect setting. Jalene's segment started off a bit rocky due to technical difficulties. Once the mic was adjusted and her live guitarist toned down his amp we were off. Ms. Mojica chose an Alicia Keys selection to start off. Dressed in black tights, tall black leather boots made for walking' and short jacket Jalene looked and sounded like the star she is. Her second selection was an original selection "Let's Get Down Tonite" produced by T&J Sidekicks, that got the crowd waving their arms and grooving to her vocal stylings. Before long the audience was participating and clapping for more. There was an overwhelming request for an encore but she chose to bless the crowd with an accapella that moved them. I had the opportunity to catch up with her after the performance, after waiting for her to thank her supporters and family and there was a line. With such strong support she is well equipped to pursue her dreams. Since life isn't always a bowl of cherries, I asked her what, if anything, ticked her off about the industry? "Bullshit artist. Be about your business." Straight and to the point.

Jalene was born and raised in the South Bronx and has been singing since six. "I'm inspired by family and friends who support me and see my dream for me daily even when I don't. I wrote my first song in my living room about 2 and half years ago." She is currently working on a 5 song demo as well material for a possible production deal. Nate Timmerman is her engineer, guitarist, and does vocal production. "The greatest obstacle I've had to face has nothing to do with myself or my team. I think the way the industry works now it creates more work for the artist with the extinction of a&rs there is no more artist development. I'm blessed to have family that understands that I can't always be there all the time but they show up for me always. My family empowers me." She firmly believes that we are all given a passion for a reason. Its not an accident. God has a plan. "It hurts my soul to know that there is so much poverty in this world, namely third world countries. I would like to shed light on some of the lesser known evils that affects poorer and less privileged people."

What are Jalene's plans for the future? "I will graduate with a masters in English in may 2009 and am looking at a few scripts as I try my hand @ acting. Long Island University where I pledged Sigma Iota Alpha as an undergraduate, which a latina based sorority that embraces all races."

With all that lies before her, Jalene has a long road ahead of her but it won't be a dark one. She has a light that will touch everyone she comes across and we, the B.M.B.S. Family wish her all the success. Until then stay Beautiful Mind Body & Soul.

After years of rumors and bated breath, Brooklyn's favorite amusement park closes its doors on Sunday, September 7th, 2008. Astroland, which was built along Coney Island's beachfront, has been home to hundreds of vendors and thousands of fun seekers for decades. From its roller rink and freak shows to the infamous Wonder Wheel and Cyclone rollercoaster, Astroland has had its healing affects on us all. Almost any summer night was sure to bring out lovers and friends. Its boardwalk was been the scene for many 1st kisses and fun filled photos.

Astroland has been an important part of New York City summers for several reasons. Not only does it bring tourists from all over the globe but it serves as a recreation area for the whole family and the best part is you can get there by train. I believe that to be one of the greatest things about Astroland. Six Flags Great Adventure was a two hour bus/car ride away in neighboring New Jersey and Long Island's Adventure Land had nowhere near the appeal. Astroland was across the street from housing projects and in the midst of the everyday bustle. Coney Islanders commuting everyday probably took the spectacle for granted. While some clammer for a view of the Manhattan skyline, the lights radiating from the rides and attractions provided a view not enjoyed by most. People of all ages and races have had the privilege of sunbathing along Brooklyn's shores while taking in the aroma of Nathan's Famous.

It was quite a turnout and respectful so for such an historic part of New York. An elderly couple enjoyed the sun and a couple of ice cream cones on the boardwalk as rollerskaters hit the rink for a few last laps. I even took my turn at the Shoot the Freak paintball booth before winning a Hello Kitty for my girlfriend. All right, it took three tries at the water gun before I won but I did it. Meanwhile, a hot dog was read its last rites before being devoured an older woman who had found her spot to enjoy her taste of Brooklyn. Feeling I need to leave with a piece of the park I contemplated taking a piece of the Nathan's sign but with the abundant police presence I settled for a souvenier cap instead.

Despite my passing thought of mischief the day went by without incident or disturbance. The preceding day the city was drenched with 4 inches of rain but this day it was picture perfect blue and warm as any early summer day. As night fell the temerature stayed warm and balmy. As the sun faded so did the crowd. Those who came with their children headed to their cars or the train station with cotton candy or some stuff bear tucked under their arm. Smiling faces plastered the streets like the latest movie advertisements. Brooklyn has been known for many things from its Dodgers to its pizza but everybody remembers summers in Coney Island. From the boardwalk to Surf Avenue the sounds of laughter, cheers and screams of joy could be heard. I can't imagine the silence and the lack of lights in Brooklyn. I can't fathom the stillness that will be tomorrow's tomorrow. No matter what my mind tells me, one thing is for certain, Astroland will be no more. While the Wonder Wheel and the Cyclone Rollercoaster will be spared as historical landmarks many of those small but essential sights and sounds will be gone. I'm glad that I was a part of this moment in time as I recollected my own good times spent here. Astroland was an out of this world experience for the native New Yorker and you will be sorely missed. To the side street peddlers of chance and the freaks of nature that put on an unbelievable show, I bid you farewell and thanks for the memories. May your days forever be bright, keep smiling, we love you.

ELBOWS OFF THE TABLE... The Eligible Bachelor III

In order not to seem out of place when dining out, it would behoove you to practice your table manners daily. Practice, young gentemen, makes perfect. If the establishment uses linen napkins then it is to be placed in your lap. Please remember ELBOWS OFF THE TABLE AT ALL TIMES. When eating with a knife and fork pretend that you are wearing gloves and can't touch your food. As I stated before, I've eaten fried chicken to the bone without it ever leaving my plate, usually to the amazement of my date. Remember that no matter how you may devour your food when you're alone this method will mot suffice when dining out. The point of a dinner date is to engage in conversation while enjoying your meal. So, BREATHE. Take your time and if it's a first date do your best to keep her talking about her interests, this gives you time to chew. Keep eye contact as much as possible. The worst thing I've experienced is a date with their head in the plate. It doesn't give you a chance to create any intimacy. The eyes are the window to the soul, it helps you to feel out what a person is feeling. Tell tale signs that things aren't going well are wondering eyes or a far off "wish I wasn't here" stares. As a note, I preferred to have face to face conversations as opossed to long phone chat.

Another noteworthy point is the organization of your plate. Your meal will most likely already come apportioned and seperated on your plate. Try to take a little bit from each section and place it on your fork use the knife as a guide and work inward. This method decreases the chance of your food ending up on the table and your clothes instead of your mouth. If your eating a meal what comes with sauce or gravy be exceptionally diligent and tak eyour time getting the food in your mouth while leaning in slightly to shorten the distance between you and the table. Please note, if you can't see the napkin in your lap you're too close to the table. If you order the corn on the cob, ask for toothpicks, DO NOT, AT ANY POINT, STICK YOUR FINGER IN YOUR MOUTH. The corn should have come with it's own corn holders, if not use your fork to stick the corn on its cob side. If you order soup, you sip from the side of the spoon. If you've order porridge or a thick type of soup you place the point of the spoon in your mouth as you would a fork. So remember, SOUP ON THE SIDE, PORRIDGE ON THE POINT. If there is bread on the table you ARE ALLOWED TO USE YOUR HANDS. There should be tongs on the table or in the basket for the bread. If you are dinner after a formal event, an opera for example, it's very possible that your date may have on long gloves which she may not choose to remove. In any case, offer her bread first and place it on her small bread plate for her.

There is no time limit when dining. Our schedules may regulate our time somewhat and if other events for the night take precedence then an hour should suffice. I never enjoy a rushed meal and try my best to give my self at least an hour and a half. As a rule I NEVER EAT ANYWHERE THAT WILL BE CLOSED A HALF HOUR BEFORE I'M SEATED. Why? At that time the kitchen is being broken down and any fresh food preperation is minimal. How do you feel when you're almost done with work and then get a big load as you daydream of your couch and favorite show? Exactly, I don't like it and I don't do it to anyone else if I can help it. I expect great service but what can I expect from a tired crew at the end of their shift.

Until next we meet, remember Practice Makes Perfect. The Eligible Bachelor.

Pull Your Pants Up!!!

As old as I am, I feel much younger than my years. I still watch videos and imitate the latest dance steps and can appreciate some of the style that has evolved with the growth of urban music. However, as a heterosexual male totally in love with the opposite sex, I DO NOT see the need nor practically of young men wearing their pants below their buttocks. I have had the unfortunate pleasure of wearing pants 2 sizes too big and an insufficient belt to hold them up. It makes walking unlike a penguin virtually impossible and running is out of the question. Not only is it impractical but what message are you young men trying to send?
Forgive my naivety but it appears that you're showing your ass literally! But who is it for? Half of the young men wandering the streets don't even have draws worth showing. I've had gold teeth (6 pairs), gold chains, pinky rings, flatops, slopes, braids, suede Pumas, fat laces, windbreakers, Cazals, fitted caps and I have let my pants slouch but there's a limit before one reaches ridiculous.
I've asked numerous young ladies and grown women and most concur. These young men look a bit retarded. Maybe Marky Mark's underwear ads may have been the beginning but its gone too far. We've gone from jeans that are too baggy to jeans too tight to get over your backside. Kinda crazy. I'm all for women in tight jeans, personally I need the room to breathe. I have a hard enough time getting anything larger than a credit card out of my button fly Levi's. Needless to say, True Religion and Antik Denim or the like are " no friend of mine" (Run-DMC). Lucky Brand, Levi's about do it for me, just different shades and fits but I can't do the rest and I've tried.
So please, if you or someone you know is walking around a bit retarded, please pull them to the side and tell them to PLEASE PULL THEIR PANTS UP!!! We are a long way from suits and suspenders as the young men's uniform. Maybe we need to get a little more retro in regard to style. The 80's are back maybe we need to set the dial a little further back. Let's exhibit some class gentlemen, there's got to be a better way to show off your $400 b.b. simon rhinestone studded belt than having your pants at your knees. Let's get it together, get it right and keep it tight.

The Eligible Bachelor II

As I explained previously, this series shall serve as advice for young men based on my own experiences. This is not to be taken as a "bible" to bachelorhood but rather a guide, let's continue.
Chivalry is NOT dead. If you're not it the habit of opening doors and helping women down steep declines then start getting used to the idea. Now this is something I practice daily with women of all ages.
Opening a door and letting a woman through first signifies that you are totally aware of her delicateness, not to be mistaken for weakness. If you are driving then car doors also apply. Ideally, when you arrive at your destination you should get out, open her door and offer her hand to ease her exit. Pulling out her seat at the dining table or wherever suitable is always part of the program. I once went out with a young lady and I pulled out her chair as she we were shown our table and she went to the other side. I laughed to myself and realized she wasn't used to a gentlemen's ways. We still had a decent time although we didn't hit it off and I believe it was in part to her feeling a little out of place in this upscale restaurant w/it's wine list and linen. She was amazed that I could eat fried chicken bone clean w/o ever picking it up w/my fingers.
Practice makes perfect and a little chivalry betters everyone's day. One of my installments will cover table manners, ELBOWS OFF THE TABLE!!! Stay tuned. The Eligible Bachelor.

The Eligible Bachelor

As a young man with limited life experiences, I found myself @ times regretting a particular course of action when dealing with the opposite sex. What I intend is to pass on my knowledge so others may benefit from my experiences.
The foremost lesson I've learned is honesty is your best friend. It may sound silly, especially if you plan on dating multiple women. However, you will find that you can sleep easier if everyone is on the same page. Before even getting into the "dating game" however, establish some guidelines for yourself. What type of woman do you want to have a relationship with? Now, what type do you only want to have relations with? There is a big difference and you should be able to make the distinction. Everyone's boat floats on their own wave, some people can have a casual relationship and avoid attachments, for others it just doesn't work. Having guidelines helps to save you time and headache. Nothing's worse than spending a night out with someone you can't vibe with. "To thyself be true." You always have to face the person in the mirror. If your a goal oriented individual, as our readers are known to be, then career goals and timelines may also play a part in your guideline making process. With your guide place you are now ready to be real with yourself and anyone you may meet. If you're casually dating let it be known. Providing people with accurate and letting them decide for themselves is priceless. Please note, DO NOT be vulgar or crass when explain your "rules". Subtle is invaluable, especially if your trying to "get lucky". Stating my intentions in a matter-of-fact manner has worked for me in more than one instance. Once I was able to bypass a two hour dining experience by simply stating I'd rather spend up close time with her than in a restaurant and that I had a bottle of Moet already chilled. It took 30 seconds for her to answer and we were off for a short stay. Honesty is a great friend. Stay tuned for the next installment of The Eligible Bachelor.

A.J. Crimson Bday Bash

I arrived early, heeding the warning of event coordinator Ra-Fael Blanco. I was in for a little wait as we waited for the celebs to show up to this early week party. In hindsight, it was well worth the wait.

Dee Vasquez from Sirius radio, Hot 97 showed up first on the Red Carpet, looking comfortable but fabulous in a simple black jumper. Proving you can get big sound from a small package, R&B artists Bri Beauty appeared next w/entourage in tow (www.myspace.com/msbribeauty). The new face of Hennessey and Sean John, Miguel Perdomo, was all smiles for the ladies as he hinted that something may be in the works with Pharell.. Let's wait n see... Rap artist Jumz cruised threw blessing the mic w/many drops as the Washington Heights indie artist pushed his craft... Choreographer Smooth shed some lit on the red carpet w/a fresh baldie and swagger... He's currently working on project w/Lil Mama and some other top secret thangs. Dee and Ricky Bobby, teen designers, popped up and dropped the 411 on their group Jackson Swinton... Plenty of New York's elite showed up camera ready even if they weren't walking the Red Carpet... Kalon Jackson, star of an upcoming Spike Lee film, posed for the cameras sporting his tan he picked up in Italy. Expect the film to drop around October 2nd.. For more check him out @ myspace.com/kalonjackson... B.Scott gave his own brand of Fabulousness as only he can deliver... Google him for the latest celebrity blogs... Crazy... Black Butterfly fluttered by to drop hints at their stuff dropping this fall.. (www.myspace.com/therealblackbutterfly). The Retro Kids came thru.. Flattops, Gumbies and rope chains in full effect. I finally popped inside myself to meet the people.

With an open bar and bubbly in abundance everyone was in great spirits. Music was compliments of DJ MK, Brooklyn, NY's baddest b*tch on 2 turntables keeping the vibe going... Google Me Baby sensation Teyana Taylor, snuck under the rope in her ultra quiet-is-kept plain black Converse and rocking a pony tail hung out with Jackson Swinton, drink in hand (hope it was a virgin ... Somebody call their parents). Style was definitely the word of the day.. The room was a collage of color and form fitting flair... From leggings to skinny jeans the ladies rocked it all.. Handbags of all sizes seemed to add personality to some male as well as female attendees. Go figure... As of 9:45 pm I still hadn't spotted the honoree of the night AJ Crimson. Now on my 2nd glass my vision was still clear. Clear enough to spot Forest Whitaker as he made his way in the place @ 10pm, taking a moment to pause and take photos with friends as well as admirers. I had to take a moment myself to shake the man's hand and pay my respects. I continued to mingle and ran into an old favorite.. DJ Clue, a fellow Queens native and hiphop dj extraordinaire, next to the Imperial DJ Shogun that is.(Heh heh).. Wuts good w/an interview Clue?.. Overall the event was a huge success that could only be described as Noteworthy. Plenty of Beautiful Bodies Minds & Souls coming together 4 a star-studded event. This has been another night out with your host Red.71.

yeah.. we can sit back and talk about how we can't catch a break and we seem to be in a rut... BUt... what are we really doing.... we R in a rut because we have gotten comfortable with our "routine"... i'm going to the club on friday... mall on saturday... spend QT time on sunday with my significant... blah blah blah... Let's keep it moving.. what are we going 2 do different this week... what is going to get me to the next level of my game.. meeting new people.. traveling... researching a new idea... spending time with myself... every opportunity that we say no to is a kick in the head.. Now i'm not saying that you say yes to everything that comes you're way but you know which ones are "no brainers".. for ex. i had an invite for an exclusive party that tyra banks was attending and although i could have said "damn.. i gotta leave work a half an hour early and go straight to the city.. then find parking.. blah blah blah... instead i went.. told myself it would be a great opportunity to promote my magazine and mingle with some players... it turns out i ran into 2 old friends .. made 2 new ones .... had a great time... found parking 50 ft from the club for FREE and there was an open bar.... had i stayed home.. i would have checked my email watched the tube and went to bed.. no connections.. no new ideas.. and would have missed out on reconnecting with my friends who i will be doing business with in the near future... let's get out there and make connections.. let's build 2day what we can 4 2moro.. it's quite possible if we stay Beautiful.. Michael Clayton

George Clooney leads this cast with a brilliant performance in this modern day thriller/drama written and directed by Tony Gilroy (writer of the "Bourne" trilogy). "Michael Clayton" is the story of a simple man with not so simple problems within a very realistic setting. We all have days when "everything" goes wrong and it seems as if the day will never end. Well, try getting through a series of days, a whole week even, of things going terribly wrong. While I didn't learn to love the lead character, I did learn to empathize with him. His plight seemingly grows darker with every waking hour with not so much as a sliver of light creeping through. Another aspect that I enjoyed about this film is that it did shed light on some issues that we are living through now, as art imitates life and reflects the times that they are created in. With so many cover ups coming to light in our everyday world, the issues posed in "Michael Clayton" are not so far fetched and may even warrant some intraspection.

Sydney Pollack, who plays Marty Bach (Clayton's boss), gives his character life but what kind of life? His relationship with Michael has a cold 'n' hot feel to it, brutually matter-of-fact when it comes to business, however, in light of their long relationship Marty finds a place in his cold interior for the man that he regareds as "the fixer", the go-to-man when there is a problem that needs to be resolved quickly. Ironically, it's always easier to fix the problems of others, is it not, the trick is to solve your own. Michael is the middle child in a family with three boys and it appears he's the most financial successful of them. However, money does not buy happiness as Michael deals with his divorce and limited time with his son Henry, played by Austin Williams. Young Austin is convincing as a well spoken elementary school kid with a knack for dream worlds that seem all too real, a sentiment shared by Tom Wilkinson, who plays Arthur Edens, the "A" man at his firm for several years standing, who holds the key to one of the biggest cases in his firm's history. Law firms in cinematic history have always been known for their underhanded dealings. There is no greater example of this I believe than "The Devil's Advocate", which starred Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves. Even with the absence of Lucifer, "Michael Clayton" has some dark moments, shaded by the anti-hero, portrayed by Tilda Swinton as Karen Crowder, top player at the firm and a "fixer" of sorts, who will stop at nothing to get results.

Overall, "Michael Clayton" is a wonderfully entertaining film that should please even the most finicky movie goers. It's definitely a great pick up for Clooney as I shrugged off the lack of entertainment in "Ocean's Twelve" and "Ocean's Thirteen"... "Ocean's Eleven"... A CLASSIC... Leave the Trilogies to Jason Bourne...

Cool Cool for Lupe.. Fiasco That Is

Cool Cool for Lupe.. Fiasco That Is

Lupe Fiasco's newest work, "The Cool" is a strong effort from the Chi-Town native. Once the next best kept secret, it's no longer a wonder that Chicago's West Side Wordsmith has grown and spread his wings. As I popped in his latest LP, I happened to have my car stereo set on random... ssswwweeeetttt!!!! The first song I heard was "Hi-Definition" featuring Snoop Dogg and Pooh Bear. I can truly say I wasn't prepared for the funk. A groovy bassline, driving percussions, sonic lasers, cosmic beams, out of this world lyrics, blended together with a soulful vocal deliver during the chorus makes for a delicious medley of music. It defintely has a celebratory feel to it although it doesn't feel like a clone of "Superstar", the well received radio-friendly single that has found a home in heavy rotation on several radio stations across the board. Hear me now... listen to me later... Lupe Fiasco is going to be a problem.. This emcee is for real.. and he takes rhyming for real as a good emcee should... I'm from an era where biting styles, verses, even melodies where forbidden almost taboo. It just wasn't done, whether because of an originality standpoint or out of respect for yourself as an emcee. In an industry full of rappers, iit's increasingly difficult for the "true artist" to compete with the likes of party personalities like Souljah Bwoy, who's sure to fade as the short attention span of his audience switches for the flavor of the day. Now, don't get me wrong.. I'll Super soak a .... ehhmmm but I don't consider the young man an emcee.. a rapper.. mos definitely.

Lupe finds a way to touch on several subject on this album, rape, the search for refuge and emotional decay are a few issues which he addresses on "Intruder Alert" featuring Sarah Green. The track is dark enough to be complimentary to the subject matter at hand and Ms. Green's seems sharply eerie and accurate enough to give this selection the effect needed. In stark contrast to this dark nightmare is the bouncy "Go Go Gadget Flow" where Lupe bigs up his hometown claiming "...I'm from a city in the midwest best city in the whole wide world hey..." This track is definitely full of bubbalee ... its light and refreshing .. tastefully done but not too serious... "Little Weapon" is a track that MUST be heard. The subject matter is all too familiar yet it seems that it escapes our social western forums. Little boys are groomed from an early age to use guns and other weapons without any regard for human life... This isn't a tall tale this is a reality. "Streets On Fire", is a macrocosmic look at the spread of sexual disease, drug use and social decay in epidemic proportions.

Complete with old school cuts break beats and a need for purpose, this young man proves time and aain he can ride a train of thought from beginning to end. I could spend many more lines laying praise to Mr. Fiasco's cleverness but I may become guilt of overkill. With other supporting highlights, "Dumb it Down", is clever and witty , "Daydreamin'", featuring Jill Scott which took home a Grammy for Best Urban/Alternative Performance and "Fighters", featuring Matthew Santos, that humbly puts life into quiet perspective. "The Cool" is a most have... do your ears a favor .. pick this up AND PLAY AT HIGH VOLUME.. Peace...

Hey folks, I'm back again in yet another Crazy Al Cayne parody video called STD's on my dick. Yes that's me as Dr.Truth. Shout out to Crazy Al. I enjoy working with talented people and he supercedes that for real son. Wow i used supercede and for real son simultaneously.....that's hip hop or maybe not depending on who you ask but in my world it is. I'm not going to get into that debate because it's STOO-PID. anyway, back to the video. It's a parody to rich boy's "throw some d's" but it has a bigger message that everyone needs to heed including women. Sexually Transmitted Diseases have been spreading for years and continue to do so at an all time high especially amongst teens and that's starting at 11 yrs old. Horrifying and gross to even think about it but that's the reality we live in. You have to really hate your life if you don't use some sort of protection, correctly i might add, in this modern world of super germs that antibiotics can barely fight anymore. Don't mean to be glum (another SAT word, that means sad, gloomy) but i don't want my friends and peeps getting caught out there when it could have been avoided to begin with. Now about BET, big up to them and Sharon Carpenter (BET news). Yes i'm actually giving BET props, but don't worry they will do something soon to return to being Coon-TV. They recently did a series called rap-it-up focusing a lot on young kids about being safe when it comes to sex and stuff. anything that keeps kids and teens safe i have to applaud because they are the next generation coming up that will run this world, and when we get to be super senior citizens they may take care of some of us or mis-care so reach out to a kid for future sake. Alright so enjoy the video it's on the video page, here's the direct link: www.thermalsoundwaves.com/videos.cfm don't forget to check out our You tube page www.youtube.com/thermalsoundwaves , there's going to be a lot more great stuff on there soon. We are working diligently (that means hard and fast, i think or maybe that's my dirty mind) Please comment on this subject, call me names, hate me now, love me, ladies send sexy messages....IT"S ALL GOOD SON & SONETTES !!!! Thank you for your continued support. Now have fun and enjoy life dammit.

Is myspace the mark of the beast? - THERMAL SOUNDWAVES

Hey yall, this is your girl SUPER Intern Marie. You might be wondering what the hell are they talking about? Well think about it, I was watching CNN tonight and they were covering the Sean Taylor murder last week. Now four suspects have been arrested and charged with the crime and CNN showed and tried to disect all of the suspects myspace pages. Their pages have been deleted since then but CNN was able to save the info on the pages. I don't know if any of that info can or will be used to convict these guys but I find it amazing the amount of information people are willing to put out there in the public. I admit that I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist but I do believe in the new world order and the mark of the beast. What is the mark of the beast? Is it a way of tracking the masses? I think myspace is the perfect tool for that. Almost everybody has a myspace, its gotta be hundreds of millions of people worldwide sharing lots of personal and some incriminating things about themselves in a public forum. Tell me what you think... Peace....

Hip hop music don’t raise your kids ! - THERMAL SOUNDWAVES

Yep that’s right peeps. Learn that and take it to heart. First off, let’s get one thing right the music you keep pointing a finger at does not represent the entire Hip hop culture which has more elements than just music. I won’t get into that education right now. Let’s talk about some more things hip hop music is not: serial killers, columbine mass murderers, policy writers, controllers of media, heads of entertainment distribution channels (i.e radio, TV, music companies, etc.), presidents of universities, blah blah blah. Basically what I am saying is that you can try and cut off the music, I say try because if you know the history of the art that is not possible, but the same problems and issues you accuse it of causing will still be here. Why? Because they have been here before you ever knew of hip hop music and will be here long after you stop supporting the art form. People become what they know, what they’ve been around, and get influenced by what they grow up around. Children who have seen years of abuse or have been abused themselves within their own household get affected by that in some way and that manifests itself. When it comes to artist, it manifest through music. Think about it. I had someone call the radio show this past week when we had Ralph McDaniels (pioneer, documentarian, predecessor of MTV, VH1) on and he complained about how rap wasn’t music blah blah blah and in his day there was real music blah blah blah. Ok listen, everything changes, you can’t expect music now to be like music in the 70’s, we are way past that. Times have changed. History can’t be the present. It plays a part in the present and future. Which leads me to this: If rap music is so bad and it’s so this and that for all you people from the 70’s and past generations, then doesn’t that mean that you guys and gals had something to do with that and you failed on some level? I mean history plays a role in the future. Bling bling, pimps, hoes, hustlers were not created by hip hop music and artists, they were already in existence. Some of those very artists had contact with and were brought up by such things as kids. Think about what kind of affect that has on a person LONG TERM. If you don’t stop the root problems from growing Youuuuuuu! will never have progress. So keep trying to get the artist to change their lyrics without changing the environments that breed the ideas for the lyrics you hate and see how far you get. One last thing, for all you people who want to hear the positive artist and support other things besides the “buffoonery”, when was the last time Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Jean Grae, The Roots, etc etc went platinum? And I’m talking before the ring tone and download age. Think about what I’m asking you. Please comment agree, disagree, send threats, insults, whatever, Let’s GET IT ON ! You can hear more stuff like this, antics, shenanigans, etc on Thermal Soundwaves Radio Airs live Monday’s 12 midnight to 3 am (eastern) 9 pm to 12 midnight (pacific) log on worldwide: http://www.whcr.org/ AIM: thermalsound Email: info@thermalsoundwaves.com Website: http://www.thermalsoundwaves.com/ www.myspace.com/thermalsoundwaves Thank you for your continued support. Rappers tonguing but call you gay? - Thermal Soundwaves

I'm sorry everyone but I can't take this shit no more. I'm not shit talking nor am I hating on anyone. But I just can't take the bullshit any longer and nor should you! The people who Im about to talk about I just might see them again and might have to interview them. Not that Im stressing to get an interview from and I sure aint hiding either. Im in every state, county, boro, ward, city, parish, time zone, country (you catch my drift). I'm talking about Lil Wayne and Baby! Ive been knowing about these gentlemen and their "ways" for about a couple years before it was on 106 & Park in front of the crowd on NATIONAL TV!!!!!!! I never pushed the issue cause you always hear rumors about people but the source of who I heard it from was a person that has no reason to lie, is making money and worked directly with them. But then there were pictures of them holding hands and tounging (in that pic you see one of their homies starring with disgust at them). Shout out to Dj Jemini & Johnny Champion! Here's what Im saying. If your gay (like men) then shit homie, whatever makes you happy. I can't judge you and tell you who to be with cause I'm not God! We all know people or don't even realize that we know gay/ lesbian people. They are in our families, the CHURCH, friends (who conceal it for years), bosses, favorite actors/actresses, singers, models, MALE STRIPPERS (yes ladies), etc. Just be who you are and don't be ashamed of what people will say about you. Even when your faking, gay people still know who's gay no matter how much you talk about fucking bitches! What were ALL the reasons why the whole roster of Cash Money leave? Turk, Boo, Gotti, Juvenile, BG, Gilly Da Kid, TQ, etc etc etc. I'm listening to a song from Lil Wayne and he said something like "I didn't wanna deal with Kelly, but I fuck with Fat Joe, no homo though"! I might have a word or two mixed up but HOW THE FUCK do you say no homo to that but tounge another man "voluntarily" in the mouth????? Y'all need to get yall priorites straight for real. That shit is HOMO! Theres no getting around it. I would be different if a man violated you and took that from you which is called "rape". But you volunteered for that and still do it. I understand you can have love for someone as if that person was your son, father figure, daughter, mother figure etc. But I never in my life seen shit like that. You can't tell me thats some mobster shit cause I was raised and grew up with "real mobsters & gangsters"! I'm talking about what try to imitate now in a lot of their songs and movies. The real ones that had pizza day, firework shows and all that for the kids in the neighborhood. Some of my loved Italian and Siclian peoples kissed on the cheek but if they kissed you on the lip it wasnt saying I love or see you tommorrow. Maybe some of the Latin people did it but it was to an extent. People that know and or grew up seeing those mobsters & gangsters know what the I'm talking about so I know I'm not crazy or hating. Then the other question is for how long was that going on for behind close doors and what else? I can run into anyone of y'all or even them and stand my ground because it's what I believe in. Im not telling you not to support them at all. They make good sounding music (Lil Wayne). Sometimes a lot of babbling but the music to dance to with the beat and chorus. But I can't feel shit he's saying to me as far as his words and meanings when you call others fags, queers and gays. Hey, maybe you might wanna do a song with them. That doesn't mean your gay or such. Great minds make great things. But just keep in mind when you singing or rapping and you dissing certain people and their ways. The people you collabing with might be on that same shit Just to be clear, I'm NOT calling them gay! But I am confused when they call other people that and or say "NO HOMO"! If anyone feels totally opposite about what I wrote then you might wanna check your sexuality and your senses cause you might be a closet homosexual and your brainwashed!
